Cyber Security / Infrastructure Engineer Intern Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Cybersecurity / Infrastructure Engineer Intern based in Fall River, MA. This 100% onsite position in a classified lab environment provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity across physical, network, and operating system security. You will work with a fast-paced team of mission-focused engineers to secure complex systems and environments, including classified and unclassified environments, under stringent security standards. Intern Responsibilities Work with team members to secure both classified and unclassified environments to the same stringent security standards. Assist in hardening Linux operating systems and network devices to comply with security policies. Support the implementation and monitoring of physical security controls within a controlled laboratory. Contribute to vulnerability management and patching efforts. Participate in other relevant intern tasks as assigned within the classified lab. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and network protocols. Basic knowledge of Linux operating system security principles. A desire to learn and work in a fast-paced, classified environment. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability management concepts. Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST or STIGs. Understanding of physical security protocols and technologies.
