Job Description
Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is actively seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the Air Mobility Command (AMC) at Scott AFB, IL. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Writing and editing technical documents, including C-4 documents, Concepts of Employment (CONEMPs), ECE, use cases/scenarios/vignettes, and standard use reports.
• Develop training handouts and guides and ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force standards.
• Ensure continuity for document publication and revisions. Minimum Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in DoD technical writing, including 3+ years with aviation or mission planning systems documentation (e.g., JCIDS documents for MPS, MAF platforms like C-140, KC-46).
• Society for Technical Communication (STC) certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in developing training materials and supporting contested environment scenarios.
• Secret Clearance required, TS/SCI eligibility. Additional Qualifications: • Proficient in Microsoft Word for drafting/editing.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat for compliance checks.
• Ability to coordinate complex publications (e.g., IS-CDD) and revise based on feedback.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to formatting standards. The primary location for performance of the work will be Scott AFB, IL with occasional CONUS travel.
