Internship Overview

BLS is seeking energetic, friendly and serious Web Developer Intern. If youre interested in an exciting career in Web Design - apply now ! (Spring Semester & Credit Based - 160 hours and must be approved by your school). This program is for current college students and recent grads and must be approved by your school.

A successful candidate should have these attributes:

• Experience building WordPress
• Ability to collaborate with individuals and stakeholders across multiple teams
• Ability to develop pages and assets based on designs
• Disciplined and motivated as well as a team player
• Ability to take criticism of your work and make needed improvements
• Passion and drive to improve current skill set, and build new skills
• Excellent problem solver
• Ability to adjust and re-prioritize on the fly
• Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure

Below is a list of duties:

• Create landing pages, assist in restructuring web properties
• This person will work on the web team, under the lead in the marketing department.
• They will serve as a key resource, improving web properties, offering insights, and giving data-driven feedback to the web team.
• You will have an important role working as part of the team, working directly with the GM and head designer.
• Implement UX & UI wireframes on Wordpress site
• Optimize site experiences for users (SEO, site speed, etc.)
• Engage with users and internal team to test and improve site

Requirements

• Undergrad majoring in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or Junior/Senior, working on degree)
• Self-starter with strong social skills capable of working independently but also collaboratively
• Proficient with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and willing to learn how best to optimize these applications
• Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects concurrently
• A proactive leader eager to expand their professional skillset, and willing to learn valuable tools that will assist through any professional career.
• Excellent team, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English. HTML and CSS
