Summary of Key Responsibilities: As a Staff Accountant you will focus and assist in day-to-day accounting, month end and bookkeeping operations for the group of companies.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Process and reconcile Accounts Receivable transactions, including invoicing, cash application, and aging review.
- Manage Accounts Payable activities, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and account reconciliation.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and record depreciation.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Summary of Experience and Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
