Construction Worker - Highway & Heavy Civil Projects

Location: Jefferson Parish
Pay Range: $18-$20 per hour (Based on experience and skill level)

We're looking for Construction Workers who are safety-minded, reliable, and eager to learn . Whether you're just getting started or already have experience under your belt, there's a place for you on our team.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of physical tasks on job sites (e.g., trench digging, concrete mixing/placement, trench bracing, material handling)
• Operate small hand and power tools safely and effectively (shovels, rakes, hammers, jackhammers, saws, etc.)
• Assist skilled trades such as equipment operators, cement finishers, pipe layers, and carpenters
• Maintain safety standards at all times
• Keep the job site clean and organized (e.g., tool pickup, hazard removal, site security)
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Follow directions and complete assigned duties promptly and safely

What We're Looking For:

Must-Haves:

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• TWIC card
• Steel toe work boots
• Reliable transportation
• Able to pass pre-employment assessments (background check, drug test, physical, MVR)
• Physically fit and able to:
  • Lift heavy materials
  • Perform strenuous tasks
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions
  • Work in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualities:

• Team player with a positive attitude
• Strong time management skills
• Good communication and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Experience in construction is a plus, but not required

Pay Scale Based on Experience:

• Entry Level ($18/hr): Little to no construction experience. Will receive on-the-job training.
• Mid-Level (Avg $18-$19/hr): Familiar with basic hand tools, can assist carpentry crews, operate chain/chop saws, support piling crews, and has some pipelaying skills.
• Experienced/High-Level ($20/hr): Skilled in all aspects of general labor, takes initiative, and may operate small construction equipment.
