Job Description
Position Overview:
The Multi-Camera Operator is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage of church services, events, and other programs using multiple cameras. This role requires technical proficiency, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the video production team to ensure seamless broadcasts and recordings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Camera Operation:
- Operate multiple cameras during live and pre-recorded events, ensuring smooth transitions and appropriate shot selections.
- Adjust camera settings for optimal video quality, including focus, zooming, and shot composition.
- Follow direction from the Director to capture desired shots and angles.
2. Collaboration:
- Work closely with the video production team, including directors, producers, and other camera operators, to ensure cohesive production.
- Attend pre-production meetings to understand the vision and requirements for each event.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-camera operation, preferably in a live event setting.
- Proficient understanding of camera equipment and functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Familiarity with church services and events is a plus.
- Physical stamina to operate cameras for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require working during weekends, evenings, and special church events.
- Physical demands include lifting and transporting heavy camera equipment, standing for extended periods, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
