La-Z-Boy Southeast is at the forefront of in-home design and is experiencing significant growth. We currently have a leadership development opportunity for a focused, driven, and motivated Design Assistant. We provide top-notch training. Design Assistants are also mentored by our award-winning interior designers.

Primary Responsibilities: - Assist lead Interior Designer in the creation of presentation (product/ cover/ Color Selection, 3-D Floor Plans)
- Provide exceptional service using excellent listening skills and being responsive to client needs while providing solutions aligned with clients' preferences and budgetary limitations
- Attend in-home consultations with Sales Consultant and Interior Designer
- Attend in-home design deliveries and final staging
- Work in concert with Lead Designer on gallery displays and vignettes.
Qualifications Requirements: - MUST HAVE A Bachelors in Interior Design
- Competitive spirit
- Passion for interior design
- Communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with sales staff as well as clients
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to see well enough to read printed materials, computer screens, and across the gallery
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with other employees
- Must be able to sit, stand, and move around the gallery and occasionally walk briskly
- Must be able to kneel to pick up items from the ground
- Must be able to move furniture lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to type and hold a tablet
