Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated Independent Contractors to provide big and bulky home delivery services using cargo vans and sprinter vans in the Atlanta Georgia area. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering large, heavy, and oversized items to residential customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for logistics and a commitment to excellent customer service. You must have your own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery Operations: Operate your own vehicle to transport big and bulky items from retail locations to customers' homes and other businesses.
  2. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload items, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit to prevent damage.
  3. Customer Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries, ensuring a positive and friendly experience while addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  4. Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery and any customer-related information.
  5. Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch or delivery coordination teams to update them on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  1. Vehicle and License: Own or have access to a reliable cargo van, or sprinter van with a valid driver's license and insurance.
  2. Physical Strength: The ability to handle heavy and bulky items during loading and unloading.
  3. Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to provide a positive delivery experience for customers.
  4. Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to plan and execute efficient delivery routes.
  5. Responsible and Reliable: Display a high level of responsibility and reliability in fulfilling delivery commitments.
  6. Geography Knowledge: Familiarity with the Atlanta, GA area and its surrounding regions to navigate efficiently.
  7. Independent Contractor Status: Understand and comply with the responsibilities and obligations of working as an independent contractor.

Note: This position is suitable for individuals who are self-employed and wish to work on a contract basis. Independent Contractors are responsible for their own expenses, taxes, and other business-related matters.
