Pay Range: $66.34 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Join our dynamic engineering team at The Westin St. Francis, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and repair of our facilities, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. In this role, you will:

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and machines.
• Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Document daily activities and problems to ensure smooth operation across shifts.
• Display knowledge or the ability to learn in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation.
• Execute repairs, including plumbing tasks, electrical components, and general maintenance.
• Perform repairs on landscaping and irrigation systems.

In addition, you will:

• Follow all safety and security policies, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
• Move and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier items.
• Utilize basic computer skills for entering work-related information and schedules.
• Complete safety training and adhere to company standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Some background in general maintenance and painting preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• License or Certification: Valid Driver's License.
