Position summary: The driver position is responsible for delivering petroleum products (fuel, oil, methanol and/or Propane) to Benz Oil customers (local and oilfield) as ordered and adhering to all safety regulations in the hauling, loading and delivery processes.

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Killdeer ND

Starting Wage: $30/ hour DOE

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 after 6 months

Reports to: Department Manager and/or Dispatch Supervisor

Hours/Work Life Balance/Schedule Options:

• 20 days on and 8 days off or 10 days on and 4 days off
• 10-hour days (7:00 am to 5:00 pm)
• Overtime available

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pre-Trip Inspections
• Drive tractor-trailer truck, straight truck, boom truck and/or bobcat
• Complete paperwork that is neat and legible and submit it in a timely manner (Invoices, JSA’s, BOL’s, etc.)
• Collect payments
• Work as a team member and respect co-workers
• Adhere so all safety regulations
• Take/follow direction from Dispatch Supervisor
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Deliver and set fuel / propane tanks and cubes
• Load, unload, stack or wrap containers, materials, or products
• Load truck
• Fill propane cylinders as needed for customers
• Work in Warehouse as needed
• Examine vehicle to detect malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needed
• Transport petroleum products
• Verify the products being delivered match the orders
• Report all vehicle maintenance and repairs issues to shop manager
• Service vehicle with water, fuel, or oil
• Maintain driver log according to I.C.C. regulations
• Maintains current training records as advised by safety department
• Use established traffic or transportation procedures
• Follow traffic laws
• Perform safety inspections in transportation setting

Skills & Knowledge:

• Use basic math skills
• Read maps & use geographic positioning system (GPS)
• Use local or regional geographical knowledge to transportation
• Use weighing or measuring devices in transportation
• Lift or move objects up to 75 pounds
• Use various hand tools
• Operate a cell phone
• Climb truck ladders
• Drive truck with capacity greater than 3 tons
• Operate cleaning equipment
• Use vehicle repair tools or safety equipment
• Use truck-mounted hydraulic lifts or other accessories

Qualifications: Class A or B License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement

• Safety Training
