Job Overview

Seeking a Accountant/Bookkeeper for a part-time position, available to work 4 days per week from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Dive into the world of tax returns, financial transactions, and report analysis, all while championing the growth of our clients. The role is a 50/50 split between weekly bookkeeping tasks and tax compliance.

If you're meticulous, adept at multitasking, and driven by a passion to nurture the financial health of burgeoning businesses, your contribution will be invaluable.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with taxation legislation
• Complete bookkeeping tasks & perform routine entries including posting financial transactions to the general ledger
• Assist with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly activity statements
• Help with budget preparation and budget reviews
• Analyse financial data and create reports for management
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with Xero and Hubdoc would be favourable
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Are passionate about supporting small to medium businesses
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A willingness to learn and to be part of a team
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
• Australian citizenship is required for this position
